Arrival & Getting to know each other

  • From 4 pm: Check-in to the bungalows, free time by the lake, in the sauna or in the woods

  • 5.30 pm: Aperitif & getting to know each other

  • 7 pm: Vegetarian, wholesome 2-course dinner including wine by the lake

Saturday, 12. September

Mordanting · Dyeing · Batik

  • 8 am: Optional Yoga session in the tea house

  • 9 am: A shared hearty breakfast

  • 10 am–12:30 pm: Material research, dye plants & medicinal properties, preparing your first dye baths

  • 12:30 pm: Light lunch

  • 2–5:30pm: Colour samples, modifications & batik wax-resist technique

  • Abend: A vegetarian, wholesome two-course dinner including wine by the lake

Included: booklet with colour samples and notes + 40×40 cm cotton cloth with individual pattern

Sunday, 13 September

Ecoprint & Departure

  • 8 am: Optional yoga session in the tea house

  • 9 am: Hearty breakfast together

  • 10 am–12 noon: Bundle dyeing – create your own silk scarf with flowers and leaves

  • 12 noon: Light lunch to round off the day, free time

  • 3 pm: Departure

Time to Unwind

Between creative sessions, the surroundings invite you to slow down: a refreshing swim in the lake, relaxing hours in the garden sauna, yoga in the teahouse, or quiet walks through the early autumn forest.
You’ll also be treated to freshly prepared vegetarian meals – seasonal, mindful, and made with love.

Accommodation

You will stay in charming historic bungalows spread across the spacious grounds. All three lakeside bungalows are simple and offer the same standard of amenities.

Each room has two single beds, and rooms are shared exclusively with people of the same gender.

Location

Bauernschloss e.V. is a passion project by a group of nature enthusiasts who are revitalizing a historic site at Lake Bauernsee in Grünheide, Brandenburg.

Since 2020, members of the association, along with friends and neighbors, have been collaboratively restoring historic buildings, caring for natural spaces, and creating an open place for culture, learning, and connection.

Your hosts

Dörte

Dörte is a textile artist and dedicated knowledge-sharer with over a decade of international experience. After training as a jewelry designer in Sydney, she followed her path deeper into the world of textiles - exploring macramé, weaving, jogakbo, and plant-based dyeing through immersive residencies and journeys to places like Mexico and Italy.

At the retreat, Dörte gently guides both the creative process and the atmosphere itself, making sure you feel welcomed, supported, and at ease from the very beginning, making sure that each participant leaves with fresh inspiration, new skills, and a collection of meaningful memories.

Irene

Irene is a dedicated yoga teacher with nearly a decade of experience, offering classes and retreats in Berlin and its surroundings. In 2020, she founded Bauernschloss e.V. and has since been deeply involved in thoughtfully restoring and shaping this unique location together with the community.

She guides the yoga sessions throughout the retreat and is devoted to creating a supportive and nurturing environment—so you can fully relax, recharge, and reconnect.

Joel

Joel is a musician and passionate cook with a refined, intuitive approach to vegetarian cuisine. Raised as a lifelong vegetarian and influenced by his Italian heritage and Ayurvedic cooking traditions, he creates dishes that are both nourishing and inspired.

During the retreat, Joel takes care of the culinary experience, preparing wholesome, thoughtfully crafted meals that support your well-being and elevate your stay.

Stornierung & Rückerstattung

Mehr als 60 Tage vorher: volle Rückerstattung, abzüglich 25 € Bearbeitungsgebühr

60–30 Tage vorher: 50% Rückerstattung

Weniger als 30 Tage vorher: keine Rückerstattung

Sollte dein Platz anderweitig besetzt werden können, entfallen die Stornogebühren - du zahlst lediglich die 25 € Bearbeitungsgebühr. Du darfst gerne jemanden vorschlagen, der deinen Platz übernimmt.

Wir empfehlen ausdrücklich den Abschluss einer Reiserücktrittsversicherung, die Stornokosten bei Krankheit abdeckt. Mit der Buchung des Retreats stimmst du den geltenden Geschäftsbedingungen zu.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. The following terms apply:

  • More than 60 days before the retreat: full refund, minus a €25 processing fee

  • 60–30 days before the retreat: 50% refund

  • Less than 30 days before the retreat: no refund

If your spot can be filled by another participant, cancellation fees will be waived - you will only be charged the €25 processing fee. You are welcome to suggest someone to take your place.

We strongly recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance to cover potential costs in case of illness.
