OPEN CALL, Fiber Arts Residency Jan 16th - 30th 2027, Oaxaca, Mexico

I am pleased to announce that I am partnering with Texere to host a curated textile arts residency in January 2027.

Are you an artist looking to deepen your artistic practice and learn ancient techniques from master artisans? Watch this space while we are finalising our itinerary!

To make sure you don’t miss the open call I recommend signing up to my newsletter or checking into my Instagram regularly.

Bojagi Workshop, July 27th - 31st 2026, Haslach, Austria

After many months in the making, I’m returning to the Textiles Zentrum Haslach this summer to teach my first Bojagi + Jogakbo workshop. I’m honoured to be part of this year’s lineup alongside an inspiring group of international fibre artists - and already looking forward to the beautiful works that will emerge from our 5-day intensive course.

At the same time, the renowned Summer Symposium Haslach will take place, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year - a milestone edition of this long-standing festival dedicated entirely to the art of textiles.

XTANT, May 9th - 12th 2026, Palma de Mallorca, Spain

I am enormously honoured to be invited to exhibit my work at this year’s XTANT - an annual showcase bringing together some of the most respected contemporary fibre artists from around the world, taking place in Palma de Mallorca.

The exhibition runs from May 9th - 12th 2026, and will be hosted in the early-modern Mediterranean palace Can Vivot. Admission is free, and the venue is located in the historic town centre of Palma.

Artist-in-Residence, Feb 9th - 20th 2025, Oaxaca, Mexico

For the third time I’ve been invited to move my studio from cold, cloudy Berlin to the sunny hacienda of Texere, a hidden gem in a small town 30min outside Oaxaca City, Mexico. Housed in a stunning Spanish Colonial with 50% open garden, the studio attracts and builds bridges between textile artists and enthusiasts from all over the world.

In my residency I focused on deepening my knowledge on indigenous textile techniques, particularly natural dyes and the ancient color theories of Mayan artisans. With my piece “Colores Cosmicos”, I wanted to honor this sentiment by working with minimally distracting shapes and highlighting the beauty and power of natural colors. Thanks to Oaxacan indigo, marigold, logwood, and Brazilwood for their visible and invisible gifts.

Home Faber Guide

A recognition by the Michaelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftmanship

For decades, fine arts and crafts have been institutionally divided. Textiles, in particular, have long struggled for the same recognition as other art forms, often dismissed as women’s work.

That’s why I’m especially honored to be featured in the Homo Faber Guide, an initiative by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship, a non-profit dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating master craftsmanship worldwide. As a self-taught artist, this recognition means a lot, it reassures me that I’m on the right path and acknowledges the work I’ve done so far. A truly wonderful way to start the year!

Feel invited to browse this incredible guide, filled with portraits of exceptional craftsmen - and craftswomen - across Europe!
